ST Dentist in Occlusion

The Specialist Dental Care at Gävle Hospital offers a dynamic and developing work environment where collaboration between different specialties is a given. The department of occlusion is part of our broad specialist operations, which also includes orofacial medicine, oral surgery, radiology, oral prosthetics, endodontics, and periodontology. We also have our own dental laboratory.

We are now looking for a ST dentist in occlusion to meet the increased demand for patients and strengthen our team. The team currently consists of a senior dentist, an assistant dentist, and two dental nurses.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a ST dentist in occlusion, you will undergo a structured training according to (HSLF-FS 2017:77) that provides you with a broad academic and clinical perspective, as well as leading to good insights into treatment, pedagogy, healthcare ethics, and leadership. The training will take place at the specialist clinic at Gävle Hospital and Hudiksvall. You will work clinically under supervision and participate in therapy meetings and joint rounds. Furthermore, you will collaborate with other specialists, private actors, and general dental care. The position is 80%.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a Swedish dental license and at least two years of general practice calculated to full-time, including both pediatric and adult dental care. You have excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Furthermore, you should have demonstrated a goal-oriented interest in the specialty regarding both professional development and previous clinical service. Research experience is an advantage. You value collaboration and contribute to a positive work environment by being attentive, communicative, and constructive in your approach. You plan and organize your work effectively, meet deadlines, and have an easy time prioritizing. The role of specialist dentist in occlusion places high demands on clinical maturity and social competence.
