Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 260 billion kronor every year. One of the main tasks of the control operations is to investigate suspected benefit fraud. The investigations range from relatively uncomplicated cases to organized and systematic crime. The work includes both administrative tasks, qualified investigations, and negative decisions. The work also involves measures to detect and prevent incorrect payments.
Investigations, analyses, and teamwork The state dental care support must be used correctly. Every year, large sums are paid out to dental care, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency has an important mission to ensure that the support is not misused. As welfare crimes and organized crime are directed at public compensation systems, control within dental care support is strengthened.
As an insurance investigator in dental care control, you work on the front line against incorrect payments and benefit fraud. You investigate cases where there are indications of irregularities, analyze complex information, and make decisions based on applicable regulations. Through qualified investigations, you contribute to identifying actors who systematically abuse dental care support and to protecting state funds.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues within the control operations. Your analysis and assessments can have significant consequences – both for stopping incorrect payments and for ensuring that serious care providers operate in a fair system.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.
We are looking for someone who
- has a university degree or experiences and qualifications that can be deemed equivalent
- is stable and has the ability to create trust
- acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for results with high quality
- has a methodical and systematic approach to work
- can understand and analyze complex issues
- collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
- has good communication skills, both orally and in writing
- has good computer skills.
It is meritorious if you
- have experience in qualified investigative work where you have analyzed complex information and made decisions based on laws and regulations
- have experience in control, auditing, or supervisory work, for example within government agencies, auditing, or internal control
- have experience in identifying risks, deviations, or irregularities
- have experience in analyzing larger amounts of information as a basis for investigations.
