Job Description

As a vehicle tester for our client in Södertälje, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of passenger cars to ensure functionality, safety, and quality before delivery or after repairs. You will work in a workshop environment alongside technicians and administrative staff where accuracy, clear documentation, and problem-solving are central. The role includes practical test drives, diagnostics, and verification of completed actions.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform test drives and functionality tests according to checklists and established procedures

• Conduct diagnostics using diagnostic tools and read fault codes

• Check brakes, steering, lighting, tires, electronics, and other safety-critical components

• Document test results in the workshop system and report deviations or need for further actions

• Collaborate with technicians to reproduce faults, suggest actions, and verify completed repairs

• Ensure order and safety in the work area and follow routines for occupational health and environmental management

Qualifications

• Education in automotive technology or equivalent practical experience from a workshop is an advantage

• Experience in troubleshooting or vehicle testing is desirable

• Good computer skills for documentation in administrative systems

• Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing

• Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and solution-focused with good collaboration skills

• Driver's license B (manual)
