Meal Service is now seeking an engaged coordinator for Munspelet Kitchen who, together with colleagues, creates joy in food for our guests.

About the role and your tasks

As a coordinator, you will structure and distribute the daily work in the team and be a natural part of all kitchen tasks. As much food as possible is prepared from scratch using good ingredients, focusing on health, climate, and sustainability. Special diets and planning for them are an important part of the work. You will also have overall responsibility for inventory and orders, as well as for the kitchen's administrative tasks – such as portion statistics, self-control, and invoice management.

Together with the unit manager and the team, you will actively drive the development of the offerings and planning of the operations for satisfied guests. You share responsibility for quality and efficiency.

Together with colleagues, you will perform tasks included in self-control according to the Food Act and the Swedish Food Agency's regulations. A good reception is a given, as is contributing to a positive dining experience for the restaurant's guests.

You will work actively and collaboratively to contribute to the development and goals of the workplace and operations. You will represent Lund Municipality professionally by working to implement and follow the municipality's processes, guidelines, and policies.

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone with a high school education focused on kitchen work or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer. You have several years of experience working in large kitchens, handling special diets, and leading others. You are accustomed to working with self-control and have a good understanding of applicable routines and regulations. If you have leadership training and experience working with dietary data systems, we consider that an advantage.

To thrive in this role, you need to be flexible, self-driven, and able to adapt to changing conditions. You have good collaboration skills and a service-oriented attitude, as well as a genuine interest in supporting and leading others in the team. You are eager to share your knowledge and keep updated in your field. You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good computer skills.

About the workplace

Meal Service comprises 46 kitchens distributed across seven units and is responsible for preparing meals for preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, and elderly care. Every day, approximately 20,000 portions are prepared by over 200 employees. The operation strives to offer good and nutritious food, promote healthy eating habits, and provide high-quality service.

The Munspelet kitchen is a dedicated kitchen where a coordinator and a chef together prepare around 200 portions of food daily. With great commitment, joy in food, and a focus on Swedish and organic ingredients, they create meals that taste good and do good.

The Service Administration meets the needs of Lund Municipality's other administrations and municipal companies for service. We have about 600 employees. Together, we work to build and maintain the municipality's buildings, premises, and housing, ensuring they are intact, clean, and functioning as they should. We prepare food for the municipality's children, youth, and elderly, take care of green areas around the municipality's buildings, and manage the municipality's vehicles and transportation. We are passionate about service!
