Summer Job - Sales Associate – Part-time

Now you have the chance to become part of our competent team at XXL Umeå! We work to provide our customers with the best shopping experience in sports and outdoor activities and collaborate as a team to achieve our common goals! We divide our stores into the following departments: Sports, Running and Training - Children and Leisure - Outdoor and Hunting - Skis and Bicycles - Workshop - Warehouse and Logistics - Checkout.

We are now looking for

• 4 Summer Positions, 55-70%.

• 2 Weekend Extras over the summer, 13%.

As a sales associate with us, you should have a burning interest in the products you will sell, and it is important that you are outgoing and passionate. It is a great advantage if you are an active participant in the sport of the specific department.

We prefer that you are currently a university student looking for a challenging and fun summer job and want to continue as an extra after the summer.

You can work all summer.

For the right candidates, there are good opportunities for work after the summer. Extra sales associates with us mean working one weekend a month and weekdays as needed.

We are looking for someone with a broad interest in sports, as you will help out throughout the store. At the same time, we are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge in the following categories:

Sports, Running & Training Here we sell products for ball and racket sports, ice hockey, water sports, running, and equipment for training and fitness. It is beneficial if you are active in, for example, running, football, or water sports.

Outdoor & Hunting To thrive in Outdoor & Hunting, you should be an outdoor enthusiast with an interest in outdoor life, hiking, fishing, or hunting. A hunting license is an advantage but not a requirement.

Skis & Bicycles Here we sell products and equipment for cycling and skiing and offer services such as ski waxing, bicycle service, and installation of additional equipment on bicycles. It is beneficial if you are active in cycling.

Checkout & Warehouse You meet our guests at the checkout and contribute to sales through short sales conversations and upselling. You are part of the sales team in the store and also help with other tasks outside of checkout work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Help customers find the right products

• Unpack and display goods, and contribute to keeping the department clean and tidy

• Assist in training your colleagues

• Practice XXL's operational standards and follow applicable routines and guidelines

To succeed in the role, we believe you:

Practical information about the position

Summer position 55–70%. Also weekend extra about 13%, focusing on weekend work during the summer. Period week 23–33. Overtime may occur. Working hours vary and work is done at least every other weekend.

We expect you to be able to work all summer. Introduction takes place in week 23 (June 2–5).

Salary and conditions according to the Trade Union Collective Agreement
