Sodexo is responsible for extensive rail operations in Västra Götaland, ensuring clean, safe, and welcoming trains for thousands of travelers, around the clock. Our teams work with everything from cleaning and vehicle service to ongoing quality controls and urgent interventions when vehicles need to be quickly turned around in traffic.

The operations are operational, eventful, and socially important – and you will be a key person in making it work every day.

About the role

As a team leader with us, no day is the same. You lead a team of about 30–40 employees and work closely with daily operations to ensure that our deliveries maintain high quality. You are present in the operations, support your employees, and are there when things happen – both in planned and more unforeseen situations.

You work together with the operations manager, planners, and coordinators and are responsible for several locations such as Skövde, Falköping, Mariestad, Lidköping, and Uddevalla.

Working hours vary and include evenings and nights, as our operations run around the clock, every day of the year. Travel between locations is included.

You are responsible for:

• Leading, coaching, and developing employees in your team
• Ensuring staffing, work environment, and safety
• Driving and developing the operational business closely with employees
• Following up on quality and building good relationships with the customer
• Providing employees with the conditions to grow in their roles
• Handling some administration such as planning, time reporting, and system work

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience leading in a service or operational business
• Enjoys meeting people and is motivated by coaching others
• Is comfortable working operationally close to the business and making quick decisions
• Has experience working in systems and administrative tasks
• Has a solution-oriented mindset and enjoys a fast pace
• Is flexible and enjoys varied working hours – including evenings and nights
• Has a B driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
• Has experience from the rail, transport, or automotive industry (meritorious)
• Has good knowledge of English (meritorious)

Employment form
