The Support and Care Department is a large department both in terms of the number of employees and the breadth of tasks. The department is responsible for providing care and support, service, as well as health and medical care to our citizens in need, at all stages of life. The department also includes the municipality's food unit and the Labor Market and Integration Unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our head chef is moving on to new challenges, and we are now looking for their successor. Your assignment is cross-departmental and encompasses the entire municipality's food operations. You will be responsible for 4 production kitchens, 2 reception kitchens, and some transport operations. The preschool has 1 production kitchen and 2 reception kitchens. We prepare between 700-900 portions per day. We work according to an adopted food policy based on the recommendations from the National Food Agency for food for the elderly and young.

You will be part of the management team of the Support and Care Department. Your immediate supervisor is the Social Director.

In the role of head chef, you will be responsible for about 20 employees plus substitutes distributed across 4 different units. You are responsible for ensuring that the food unit delivers high-quality meals that meet the needs of the operations. You adhere to and deliver according to the adopted food policy developed in consultation with representatives from care and support as well as from children and youth. You participate in networks and are aware of external trends.

We are looking for someone who is development-oriented, curious, and creative while also being structured and clear. You see the big picture, consider the broader perspective, and contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. You listen actively, invite dialogue, and adapt your communication based on the situations you are in.

You should be able to work independently and have the ability to see connections and the whole picture while understanding complex situations. You should have good collaboration skills and be able to express yourself well, both verbally and in writing. Your leadership qualities should be characterized by attentiveness and clarity. You have the ability to collaborate with various operations and individuals. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Trained chef with knowledge and experience in a leadership role.
• Driver's license (B) is a requirement.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from municipal or region-driven operations with food responsibility.
• Experience from areas of operation within elderly care and school activities.
