About us
Storlien Högfjällshotell opened in 1935 and has a rich history of mountain tourism. In the winter of 2023, the hotel reopened after 5 years of closed doors with a new owner, new energy, and big ambitions. The hotel is located in Storlien, about an hour from Åre, surrounded by magnificent mountain landscapes, distinct seasons, and a tranquility that many dream of.
The hotel is associated with a ski facility, cross-country and snowmobile trails, hiking paths, fishing waters, and the village has a vibrant little community with a preschool, shops, and restaurants. This is not just a job; it is a life in the mountains.
About the role
A hotel breakfast is something many look forward to and also something many remember and talk about.
We want ours to be one that people long to return to!
As the breakfast manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Help develop a breakfast experience to be proud of
- Establish structure, routines, and atmosphere in the breakfast service
- Lead and schedule the breakfast team together with the restaurant manager
- Order supplies and manage deliveries
- Prepare conference snacks and lunch packages for our mountain-traveling guests
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees
- Ensure we maintain high standards in hygiene, food safety, and the environment
You are a natural leader in operations, present, positive, and secure. You demonstrate how we meet guests with warmth and professionalism, even early in the morning.
The position is a permanent full-time employment.
Who we believe you are
You genuinely enjoy breakfast and understand the difference between good enough and “oh, what a lovely breakfast”.
You like to create order, comfort, and quality. You are used to restaurant or service work and understand the pace, details, and importance of collaboration.
Extra merit if you enjoy baking, both bread and pastries.
Above all, we are looking for someone who is attracted to life in the mountains. You want to live and work close to nature, appreciate the changing seasons, and enjoy being part of a smaller community where you get to know both colleagues and guests.
