We are not like other property companies. We are Balder. As a property caretaker with us at Balder, you have great opportunities to make a difference in our tenants' everyday lives. The role involves creating conditions for our tenants to feel safe and satisfied in their work and living environment. This is an extremely important and significant job as our tenants are the biggest reason for Balder's success. In Åstorp, where this position is based, we have nearly 700 apartments as well as commercial premises.

What does a property caretaker do at Balder? Our property caretakers appreciate the opportunity to manage their workday themselves, which includes:

- Internal maintenance. Performing service and repairs at our tenants' homes as well as on our properties, e.g., installation and repair of appliances, service on entrances and locks, replacement of kitchen cabinets, toilets, etc. External maintenance may also occur.

- Conducting rounds and working to keep the residential areas clean and tidy. We strive for order and cleanliness, and if we see litter on the ground, we take care of it immediately!

- Suggesting improvements and action proposals that help us become even better.

Who are you as a person? You need to enjoy meeting people. It is important that you like to provide good service and build relationships as you are the company's face to the outside world. How you have learned to take care of properties is not really decisive. Perhaps you have studied, perhaps you have practical experience in internal maintenance, or maybe you have a background as a carpenter? Some of our property caretakers have backgrounds as craft teachers, dancers, and car mechanics. What they have in common is their interest in our properties, tenants, and colleagues.

You will be welcomed into a workgroup where engaged management and property maintenance are just as important as table tennis tournaments and enjoyable coffee breaks with colleagues.

We also see that you have good problem-solving skills when it comes to combining knowledge with creativity. You also need to be responsible by driving your cases from troubleshooting to completion, while being unpretentious and ready to roll up your sleeves and help where needed.

Some parts of your work will be digital, so some computer skills/usage of iPhone are required. You also need to be proficient in the Swedish language in both speech and writing, hold a B driver's license, and have good physical fitness as the job involves active work.
