Do you want to help the people you meet live a dignified life and feel well-being? Do you want a varied role where you contribute to increased quality in care work? We are now looking for 5 new nursing assistants for Gamlestan/Utby.

As a nursing assistant in home care, you work closely with people and provide support in each person's daily life. You perform care and support work for individuals in their own homes. In your role, you motivate and stimulate the elderly based on their individual conditions, needs, and wishes.

The services are granted based on assistance and can vary from personal care, support around meals, assistance in social activities, and certain health and medical tasks, as well as collaboration with relatives and other actors in healthcare.

Your tasks include being a designated care contact, planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on care work with the person in need of support and assistance. It also includes performing health and medical care and rehabilitative interventions as prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. All social documentation is done digitally. If you have not previously used the systems used within the City of Gothenburg, you will receive training in these. Those we meet need support both during the day, evening, and weekend. Your working hours are therefore scheduled.

You will be exposed to many people's life situations, which can be both interesting and challenging. As a nursing assistant in home care, you work independently but also together with others in the shared care work. We operate according to the Social Services Act and the national value foundation with a focus on the individual's needs at the center.

About You

Requirements

• Trained nursing assistant
• Comfortable using an electric bike as a work vehicle
• Since we document and communicate in Swedish, you need to be able to speak and write in Swedish
• Driving license B
• Good computer skills and experience with documentation

Meritorious but not a requirement

• Work experience in mental health or dementia
• Work experience in care and support

Personal Qualities

As a nursing assistant in home care, you are friendly and helpful to others even in a stressful situation. Work in home care consists largely of independent work and personal responsibility, but you also work together with your colleagues. You listen, show interest, and respect for those you work with.

In your role, you adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You convey information clearly both verbally and in writing. The tasks vary based on the care recipient's needs, so it is important that you can change how you work when things change.
