We are looking for a traffic engineer for a consulting assignment in a municipal operation that requires qualified operational support in the traffic area. The assignment involves close collaboration with the municipality's traffic managers, focusing on the management of local traffic regulations, traffic safety, and ongoing traffic-related issues. You work in a structured manner and deliver written materials and decision support according to the organization's templates and routines.

• Develop, revise, repeal, and update local traffic regulations and publish/deliver them to the Swedish Traffic Regulation Collection's website.
• Prepare decision-making documents and presentations for matters requiring political decisions, particularly speed regulations to be addressed in the committee.
• Support the municipality's traffic managers by handling cases and conducting analyses and assessments in traffic matters.
• Respond to citizen inquiries related to traffic, traffic safety, accessibility, and regulations.
• Initiate inventory and review of the municipality's local traffic regulations and identify needs for revision, repeal, or new regulations.
• Manage traffic regulations in new development areas, such as speed, right of way, parking, and other local regulations.

• Experience in municipal technical administration.
• Several years of experience as a traffic engineer or equivalent in municipal operations.
• Documented experience in developing, revising, repealing, and publishing LTF.
• Experience working with NVDB and other national or regional traffic and road data systems.
• Ability to produce written materials, presentations, and decision support according to templates and routines.
