Our Offer
We are looking for a data analyst to join an exciting and dynamic environment with an important mission in society. In addition to interesting tasks and continuous professional development, we offer many other benefits within the Swedish Armed Forces. One appreciated benefit is that we have the opportunity to train three hours a week during working hours. We also have good flexible working agreements, parental pay, and the opportunity to study during working hours with maintained salary.
Department of Analysis and Support
The Analysis and Support department consists of 8 employees focusing on analysis and data management. The department plays an important role in the Swedish Armed Forces' attraction and relationship-building activities. The workplace is results- and development-oriented with a positive forward-thinking attitude where employees continuously grow.
Main Responsibilities
With data in focus, you contribute to developing and strengthening the Swedish Armed Forces' ability to attract and recruit personnel. You will primarily work with data in the Armed Forces' CRM system/tools and related databases.
As a data analyst, you are a key player in our ability to deliver target group-adapted communication, where you will work on identifying and structuring data for interpretation. This means you will identify and structure raw data from various sources using advanced data models. The work also includes ongoing tasks such as making target group selections for campaign activities.
You will be the expert in your field, and we hope you can lead the development of our data issues forward and contribute to future-proofing our capabilities. You will develop requirements and test developments, as well as create documentation and provide training. In this role, you will have many different points of contact within the organization, which means you need to be well-versed in IT support and user needs.
You will closely collaborate with analysts who analyze, follow up, visualize, and derive insights based on your deliveries, primarily to take appropriate communication actions. You will also work closely with data quality officers to ensure that data is correct, up-to-date, and usable.
To succeed in this role, you need a solid understanding of databases and their structures and how data models work. You should also feel comfortable finding data (from various sources) and structuring and developing it. If you have an understanding of the processes relevant to successful customer journeys and relationship management, that is a significant advantage.
You have a good understanding of what is needed from an analytical perspective in both the small and large picture – from making selections to understanding what needs to be developed for the organization to optimize and meet future needs regarding both analysis and data development. We are looking for someone who is driven, solution-oriented, and enjoys working in a team but can also collaborate and drive dialogue with various stakeholders such as IT management, other departments, etc. In this role, you will have significant opportunities to influence both communication strategies and working methods.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Relevant post-secondary education.
- Work experience in a similar role.
- Experience in handling and structuring data from various types of sources, for example using ETL scripts.
- Experience with relational databases or SQL databases.
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Personal Characteristics
You who apply for this role are quick to adapt to new working methods and eager to learn. As a person, you are structured with a good ability to see connections and think analytically and strategically. It is important that you are used to working both independently and in project form and can drive the development of the organization forward with a focus on business benefits. You thrive in an organization undergoing change and development. You enjoy collaboration and have a solution-oriented approach. You are relationship-building and attentive as you will work with people with various experiences and perspectives.
