School Doctor in Österåker Municipality
In Österåker Municipality, we work to provide our residents with the best quality of service and the services we offer. With us, you can make a difference, both for individuals and for the municipality as a whole. Those who work with us can be assured of engaging in meaningful tasks. Would you like to join us on our journey? Then you are warmly welcome to Österåker.
In Österåker, we strive to become the best school municipality in the county. In working towards that goal, we have three guiding principles: knowledge, professionalism, and security. Knowledge means that more students should reach their goals and achieve better school results. Professionalism means that we should have knowledgeable staff who can also grow and develop in their roles. Security means that staff and students should have a peaceful working environment, feel that the school environments are safe, and be involved in decisions that affect their daily lives.
Do you want to be part of our successful student health work in Österåker Municipality? We are now looking for a school doctor directed towards our municipal primary schools and our municipal high school.
We work to ensure that every student succeeds optimally based on their circumstances. To operate in this spirit, we have chosen to create a central student health organization that will contribute to increased equity and ensure the quality of student health in all our schools. A central coordination clarifies the mission and enables support and development for the various professions in the student health teams at the schools.
Österåker Municipality wants to help create better conditions for children and young people to live an active and healthy life. As part of this, we collaborate with various external actors. Among other things, we work with the Karolinska Institute, where we drive development within various health-promoting programs, such as “Healthy School Start.” Another example is that we are a “Pep municipality” in collaboration with the organization Generation Pep.
In addition to school doctors, the student health team includes school nurses, school counselors, school psychologists, and special educators - all working under the direction of the administration, student health manager, and principals. The combined student health team is a resource for health-promoting school development.
The student health team is the part of the school's organization responsible for ensuring that students have as well-functioning a teaching situation as possible. The activities should be based on scientific evidence and proven experience and primarily conduct health-promoting and preventive work.
