Welcome to us

Sabbatsbergsbyn is a residence with 106 apartments distributed across three buildings.

Nine departments are residences for those with diagnosed dementia, and two departments are for those who, for physical reasons, need care and support around the clock. Sabbatsbergsbyn is a residence in central Stockholm between S:t Eriksplan and Odenplan. It is a central nursing home in Vasastan with green areas nearby. In the Garden of the Senses, we meet for barbecues, gymnastics, entertainment, and coffee breaks. We are now looking for nursing assistants for the somatic department as well as the dementia department.

Your role

As a nursing assistant, you will provide good care, social support, and service measures to the elderly according to decisions made by the care manager. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional abilities and assist with their social contacts. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the elderly participate in various activities and receive stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering opportunities for outdoor activities. You will have contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and social documentation. You need to follow the routines and regulations that exist at the workplace.

Your skills and experience

You should have:

• Protected professional title as a nursing assistant or have started the process for this.
• At least 1-3 years of experience in elderly care
• Good experience in documentation
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing

It is meritorious:

• Work experience with dementia in elderly care.

We are looking for you who have a professional approach towards clients, relatives, and colleagues. Since you have a lot of contact with people, it is important that you have good teamwork skills and pronounced empathy. We are looking for someone who takes great responsibility in their work and is very meticulous.

To work with the City of Stockholm with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
