Beroendecentrum Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We offer support and assistance to individuals with problems related to alcohol, drugs, medications, or gambling. Our operations include emergency and inpatient care, local outpatient care, and highly specialized care. We are also a clinic that provides university healthcare as well as research and education.

Beroendecentrum Stockholm is currently in an intensive and future-oriented phase.

Our regional mission is growing, the number of inpatient care places is increasing, and soon we will open a new, modern emergency reception.

Job Responsibilities

The Observation Department, located at S:t Göran's hospital area, is an acute care unit for patients with complex addiction issues. Work in the department involves a mix of somatic and psychiatric intensive care. In connection with the expansion of the operation, the previously joint Addiction Emergency Unit is now divided into two independent units, where the Observation Department constitutes one unit, with 16 care places and about 35 employees, currently temporarily located in Department 5 but will soon move to new, purpose-built premises – creating good conditions for continued development of structure, methods, and quality.

• You should have an interest in our patient group and work with both psychiatric and somatic care.

Qualifications

Being a trained nurse is a requirement. Experience working in acute psychiatry and/or emergency reception is an advantage.

Permanent employment, day/evening or night. Full-time day/evening and night. We work two weekends out of five. The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.

• background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during hiring.
• employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
• in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
