Riksbyggen is looking for a temporary property caretaker in Skövde

We are now seeking a substitute for one of our property caretakers who will be on parental leave.

The Skaraborg-Jönköping market area manages properties and currently has about 170 employees within Economic and Technical management, Customer Group, and Property Service.

Make a Difference with Us

You will be responsible for both internal and external maintenance for our clients and become part of a team that handles daily management. Your tasks will include garden maintenance, snow removal, and ice prevention as needed (including on holidays), minor property repairs, customer contacts, purchasing materials, and maintaining machines and hand tools.

You will work both independently and with your colleagues, and you will have great freedom to solve the challenges you face in your work. As an employee at Riksbyggen, you are also expected to be a member of one or more housing cooperatives, and if you have board member duties, a responsibility fee will be paid.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to see and meet our customers' needs - you want to help create a good living environment. It is important that you enjoy teamwork and have a positive attitude towards work, customers, and your colleagues. It is also important that you are service-oriented, quality-conscious, and capable of organizing your work effectively.

You have a high school education and/or vocational training preferably with a focus on property maintenance, operations, or management, or equivalent relevant work experience. It is an advantage if you have gardening training or experience from trades such as electrical or plumbing. Good knowledge of tractor driving and handling garden machinery is also a plus.

As computers are a natural part of the work for all Riksbyggen employees, we prefer that you have some computer skills and can handle a computer in your job. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills through internal training.

The position is a temporary role from May 1 until August 31, 2027, based in Skövde, but work in other locations within the market area may occur.

The position requires a B driver's license for manual transmission. Riksbyggen sees diversity as a strength and strives to create an inclusive work environment. Riksbyggen applies a probationary employment period.
