About the Position:

We are looking for summer staff with a passion for service and a genuine interest in creating fantastic guest experiences for our restaurants and cafés at Arlanda Airport. A completely new range of food, drink, and shopping has recently been launched here. In this new setting, well-known, beloved brands coexist with exciting, newly developed concepts, and SSP is looking for summer staff for several of these concepts.

We are a cheerful and dedicated team that together creates fantastic guest experiences in a fast-paced environment at Arlanda Airport. Our units are open from early morning (04:00) to late evening (23:00), and the pace can be high at times. This summer, we are looking for service-oriented restaurant and café assistants, kitchen assistants, shop staff, and early-morning bartenders who enjoy working shifts.

The tasks are common tasks within restaurant bar & café, such as serving, cash handling, food preparation, working at the bar or coffee machine, washing dishes, and cleaning. Exactly what your tasks will be depends on the position you are applying for, but they all have in common that with a positive attitude, a smile, and quick service, we make guests feel welcome. For those who show a willingness to learn, we have the opportunity to provide on-the-job training, but experience is an advantage.

Who Are You?

Working at an international airport places high demands on flexibility, service, and always putting our guests at the center. You enjoy working both independently and in a team at a varying pace, you take your own initiatives and have a great responsibility for your tasks. Furthermore, order and tidiness are a given for you, you have good teamwork skills, and communicating with both guests and colleagues is no problem for you.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well in English. If you are applying for the role of bartender, you need training or equivalent work experience. For other roles, previous experience in the service industry (restaurant, shop, café, restaurant kitchen) is a plus, but the most important thing is your genuine interest in service. Our units are open from early morning to late evening, which means you will be working shifts.

In your application, you should state your citizenship and be able to present a passport that verifies your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required under the Aliens Ordinance.

To work at the airport, a successful security screening and background check are required, which means that you can verify your employment over the past five years. This must be verified in the form of certificates or grades; ensure that you can provide this and prepare as best as you can for a possible interview.
