Licensed Physician in Pulmonology

We Offer

The Medical Unit for Lung and Allergy Diseases provides specialized care in pulmonology and asthma/allergy, as well as high-quality teaching and internationally recognized research. We operate in both Huddinge and Solna and are now seeking a licensed physician with the possibility of a residency position. Within our medical unit, there are 25 specialists in lung and/or allergy diseases. We have five residents in pulmonology and two residents in allergy.

About the Position

The most common diagnostic groups within the ME Lung and Allergy Diseases consist of asthma/allergy, COPD, lung and pleural infections, chronic respiratory insufficiency, and interstitial lung diseases such as sarcoidosis and pulmonary fibrosis. We investigate and follow up a large number of patients before and after lung transplantation. We assess and treat patients with severe asthma and severe allergies, including anaphylaxis, insect venom, food, and drug reactions, as well as patients with mastocytosis. There are excellent opportunities for research and teaching. You who receive the position can expect a creative hospital environment and extensive teaching activities, and you will be in an environment that provides opportunities for both national and international contacts.

The employment is for a specific fixed-term position (SÄVA) with a duration of six months.

Requirements:

• Swedish medical license

Preferred:

• Experience working in a pulmonary care unit
• Research interest
