Police Region South is organized into five police areas: Blekinge, northeastern Skåne, Kalmar Kronoberg, Malmö, northwestern Skåne, and southern Skåne, which are collectively divided into 20 local police areas. Furthermore, there are four regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, the investigation unit, and the border police, a regional office, as well as national departments represented in the region to support police operations.

The Kalmar Kronoberg police area is one of the police areas within Region South. The police area is divided into five local police areas: Västervik, Kalmar, Nybro, Växjö, and Ljungby. Within the police area, there is also an investigation section, an investigation support section, and an area office.

Within the local police area of Kalmar, there are intervention and crime prevention activities (BF/IGV), investigation groups, and support and service. We are now looking for a driven group leader for the local police area Kalmar BF/IGV group 3 who wants to contribute to the continued development of the operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As the leader of BF/IGV group 3, you report to the local police area chief and are part of their management team, where you together are responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and for driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the group's operations within the area of BF/IGV and its results. As a group leader, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations. In parallel with your role as group leader with personnel responsibility, you also act as external commander.

As a leader, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that is based on following the law and treating people equally. You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the assignment as a whole.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Police degree, in accordance with the Police Ordinance (2014:1104).
  • At least 6 months of continuous experience working as a supervisor, project manager, or similar.
  • Experience participating in change and development work.
  • Experience in intervention and crime prevention activities.

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience leading others towards set goals and results.
  • Participated in management forums.
  • Experience working in external operational management.
  • Leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels.
  • Training in basic management and tactical leadership, FU leadership training, EFP level 1, and work environment training.
