Your role with us

With us, you will work with physical protection in an operation where safety, responsibility, and accessibility are at the center. In the role of Security Engineer, you contribute to the safe operation of the Oskarshamn 3 production facility and our other nuclear facilities, both in daily operations and from a long-term perspective.

You will be part of the PSF group (Production, Support, Physical Protection – Operations and Crisis Preparedness). The group is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facilities' physical protection as well as preparedness for extraordinary events. PSF consists of a group manager and 17 employees with different competencies, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support in everyday work are a natural part of the job. In this role, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders and play an important role in ensuring that the physical protection maintains the right level in a changing global context.

What will you work with?

As a Security Engineer at OKG, you will work operationally with the management and monitoring of physical protection while contributing to ensuring the protection's function and status over time. The role involves both independent work and close collaboration with colleagues, suppliers, and other parts of the organization.

Your tasks will include, among others:

• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of surveillance systems and protection
• Managing disturbances and identifying, reporting, and following up on deviations and deficiencies
• Preparing, presenting, and following up on documentation related to the operation of physical protection
• Contributing to work orders and issuing and reviewing work permits and boundary orders
• Planning and requesting the group's service and maintenance needs
• Participating in and driving improvement work within technology, work methods, and work environment
• Serving as a resource in OKG's preparedness organization

Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure, and our operations are subject to regulations regarding security protection, export control, and nuclear non-proliferation. Therefore, we will conduct security assessments for all our services and complement them with background checks for security-classified positions, in accordance with the Security Protection Act. Uniper is part of critical societal operations in Sweden, which means this position may be subject to military placement. A health examination, including a drug test, may also be relevant before employment.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who wants to work with security in a technically complex and socially important operation. You have a structured approach, a good overall perspective, and enjoy collaborating with others.

We believe you have:

• Technical education, preferably at the university level, or equivalent competence acquired in another way

• Experience or interest in security protection and/or physical protection

• Good ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing, in both Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience working in operations with high security requirements

• Familiarity with business or maintenance systems, such as IFS

• Good knowledge of the Office suite
