The Community Building department is responsible for streets/properties, water and sewage, waste management, food services, and cleaning. Here, you will be part of an organization that values participation, accountability, and innovation.

The Property Office in Valdemarsvik municipality is now looking for a property technician. The municipality manages approximately 50,000 square meters of properties, consisting of schools, preschools, care and nursing homes, an industrial property, and several smaller buildings in the category of other properties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a property technician, you report to the property manager and work broadly within the field of property technology. You have an important responsibility to ensure a well-functioning, safe, and efficient daily operation of the municipality's properties.

Your main tasks include:

  • being responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of buildings
  • handling fault reports
  • conducting inspections and rounds of the internal and external environment
  • performing and coordinating repairs, installations, and technical measures
  • managing work orders, documentation, and follow-up in maintenance systems
  • ordering and following up on repairs and maintenance measures
  • maintaining ongoing contact with tenants and contractors

You will also participate in change and development work, work with systematic fire protection, and perform minor repairs in the premises.

The position is mobile and varied with significant personal responsibility, where you combine practical work with planning and documentation. You have good opportunities to plan and structure your work independently. The role involves many contacts, which means you should enjoy creating and maintaining good relationships.

Through your work, you contribute to a good working environment and a well-functioning everyday life for the activities that use the properties.

The Property Office is part of the Community Building department along with waste management, water and sewage, food services, and cleaning, as well as the street office. The department is characterized by collaboration and flexibility, which means that work may also occur across unit boundaries.

You work closely with the property manager and team leader and are part of a team of four employees, where support and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life.

On-call duty is included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • experience as a property or operations technician
  • operational technical education or equivalent work experience
  • an interest in property technology and basic knowledge in areas such as ventilation, electricity, construction, plumbing, control, and regulation technology, as well as fire alarms
  • experience in operations and maintenance
  • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • good computer skills and the ability to work in digital systems
  • a B driver's license

Specialized skills in construction and carpentry or plumbing are advantageous.
