We are now looking for 3 temporary social welfare officers/student assistants who can work part-time during the spring and full-time from June to August 2026, as well as part-time after the summer.

We would like you to start part-time work already in the spring, which gives us good opportunities to provide you with a thorough introduction well in advance of the full-time period starting.

We have a total of 47 employees in the ordering area, of which 35 are social welfare officers divided into 3 different units. We consist of employees with varying lengths of experience, all focusing on collaboration. We actively work as a learning organization and continuously develop our working methods and routines.

We are three unit managers in the area of elderly services. In our leadership, we focus on providing our employees with the tools and resources needed to make decisions in a legally secure manner. Your role as a temporary social welfare officer

As a social welfare officer in elderly care, you are primarily responsible for investigating and assessing applications from individuals over 65 years old for various services such as home care and day activities. The tasks include updating cases, collecting documentation, making assessments, making decisions, and following up on approved services according to the Social Services Act.

The assignment is both important and varied, where you work in dialogue with the elderly to find solutions based on individual needs. The role also includes collaboration with colleagues within the city and with external partners.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed or ongoing social work education.
  • Completed the legal part of the social work education.

We consider it an advantage to have:

  • Completed practical training (VFU) in public authority work focused on the elderly.
  • Experience with Stockholm city's umbrella system.
  • Experience in social work.
  • Experience working with the elderly.

  • You communicate clearly and adapt your communication to the person you are addressing.
  • You act professionally and show an engagement that spreads to others. To succeed in the role, you need to independently drive your work.
