Avarn Security has been tasked with delivering personnel security services to the Saab Group in Sweden and abroad. This delivery is a significant part of a coordinated security delivery with Avarn Security's monitoring and technology organization.

The coordinated security delivery is one of Sweden's most complex, dynamic, and visible assignments with nationwide customer responsibility for the group. As a security guard, you will help protect critical societal functions. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a role with a high level of security, where accuracy and collaboration are key.

Working hours: Varying hours depending on the site, day and night

Location: Karlskoga and Arboga

Duration: Full-time and as needed with the possibility of full-time in the future (6-month probationary period applies)

Job responsibilities: The work involves preventing and managing security risks, controlling access, and ensuring that unauthorized persons do not gain access to protected areas. You are responsible for conducting person and vehicle checks, monitoring facilities, and patrolling to detect and avert threats. More information will be provided during the interview. This applies to both armed and unarmed positions.

Qualifications: We are looking for someone who has personal maturity and feels secure in the role of security guard. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit. You should possess a high level of security awareness and social competence. We place great importance on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. To work at certain sites, a security clearance, in-depth control, and a security interview will be conducted.

Requirements for applicants:

• In addition to the personal qualities we are looking for and describe in the various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:
• at least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• high school diploma
• good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
• driver's license B
• civil security guard training (or military security guard training, completed from 2016 or later)

Desirable qualifications:

• guard training (VU1 + VU2)
• weapon training

The position is classified in a security class, which is why a security clearance will be conducted, and Swedish citizenship is a requirement.

In addition, you need to be without a criminal record, drug-free, have a stable economy, and good health and fitness to be employed by Avarn Security. To work as a security guard, a security guard approval from the County Administrative Board is also required (we will handle that application).

*To be employed by Avarn Security AB, you must be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company, in accordance with the Act (1974:191) on security companies. Applications to the County Administrative Board are handled by Avarn Security. Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements according to the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. This assessment includes legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, from open sources, or from authorities. When assessing suitability for a position, we always apply a holistic assessment.

** If you have completed security guard training during military basic training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have security guard training through the Armed Forces without military basic training, you need to complete a shortened security guard training to work as a civil security guard.
