About the position

Our unit is developing, and there is now an opportunity to step into the role of Team Leader in Traffic Supervision. Together with a fellow team leader and Group Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership within the unit and for ensuring that applicable regulations regarding stopping and parking of vehicles are followed by a group of about 23 employees. Traffic Supervision is part of the parking operations, which mainly oversees parking enforcement, payment systems for parking, repair and maintenance of parking payment machines, strategic development, and much more within the framework of parking.

Examples of tasks:

• lead the operational work in the field
• ensure that developments within the work area are followed
• lead monitoring of applicable regulations and ensure compliance with current legislation, policies, and procedures
• inform vehicle owners about applicable regulations
• work and document in the existing operational systems

About the workplace

Within the park and street operations, about 150 employees work across three units with the operation, maintenance, and development of streets, traffic, squares, parks, and parking. We are a development-intensive organization that actively works to increase our customer dialogue and meet the needs and wishes of citizens. The park and street operations are part of the Technical and Service Administration. We have about 400 employees, and our mission is to provide the residents of Örebro with good municipal technical services. Environmental considerations, good economy, and quality are cornerstones of our operations. In addition to streets, roads, traffic, squares, and parks, we are responsible for waste, municipal vehicles, and water and sewage.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you are a confident and communicative person who is comfortable making decisions while being close to a team and collaborating in daily tasks. You express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing and have the ability to adapt your communication according to the situation and audience. You see the big picture, understand the organization's mission, and have an active interest in leadership and development.

Requirements:

• approved upper secondary education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• approved training for Municipal Traffic Supervisors according to the National Police Board's regulations
• good computer skills
• valid driver's license (B)

Meritorious:

• experience in a leadership role
• experience in other security work with management responsibility
• good knowledge of the English language and/or other language skills
