Welcome to us

Bromma City District Administration is one of the city's eleven districts. Bromma is located close to Stockholm's city center and by Lake Mälaren with its beautiful green nature.

Brommagården and Tranberg are care and nursing homes for people with dementia. The operations are characterized by stability, participation, and high competence. Brommagården is located in a picturesque park by Bromma Church and Traneberg near Alvik. Our operations are based on holistic thinking, openness, respectful treatment, and responsibility. The elderly's integrity and right to make decisions are self-evident prerequisites for our work to ensure that the elderly feel involved in their daily lives and in their care. We place great emphasis on a good reception of the elderly and their relatives in various meetings. We work in multidisciplinary teams and take part in the elderly's life stories to create security, meaningfulness, and a sense of coherence. We strive for good relationships with relatives and see them as a valuable resource in our work, thus placing great importance on a good reception of the elderly and their relatives.

Your role

As a nursing assistant, you will provide good care, social support, and service efforts to the elderly according to decisions from the assessment officer. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional ability and assist with their social contacts. You will be responsible for ensuring that the elderly participate in various activities and receive stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering opportunities for outdoor activities. You will also have contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and social documentation. Additionally, you will follow the routines and regulations that exist at the workplace.

Your qualifications and experience

You must have a protected professional title as a nursing assistant. You should have worked in dementia care and support for at least 1 year. You must be accustomed to documenting. You should have experience in the profession.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities and good references. We need you to be secure, stress-resistant, and have personal maturity. You should also be service-oriented and attentive to the needs of care recipients. You value diversity and understand that different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations can affect oneself and others in various ways. You have good collaboration skills and are happy to share your own knowledge and experiences while being open to learning from others. You have empathy in your interactions with other people and a genuine interest in working in the profession. You are expected to be flexible, as the job requires it.

Other

We are looking for summer substitutes for day/evening and night shifts for both Brommagården and Tranberg care and nursing homes. Scheduled working hours.

The values of elderly care permeate our operations, and you should be able to implement these values in your daily work.

Work samples will be applied for applicants who are called for an interview. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes in the City of Stockholm, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
