The Central Child and Student Health in Tyresö municipality falls under the Department of Education and includes the medical services of the student health team with a school doctor and twelve school nurses, school psychologists, and educational staff at the municipality's Resource and Development Center (RUC), as well as a return school.

The Child and Student Health is led by two managers; one for the educational services and one for the health and medical services.

In Tyresö, there are 13 municipal primary schools and one secondary school as well as adapted schools in both primary and secondary education. Approximately 6000 children and adolescents attend the municipality's primary schools and its growing secondary school.

About the position

We are now looking for a school nurse at 60% with a start as soon as possible for placement in our central student health with current placement within our primary schools and from the start of the school year 26/27 a preliminary placement at the secondary school. We are also looking for hourly employed school nurses who can step in for temporary vacancies over time.

As a school nurse in Tyresö municipality, you have a strength in the group through your central employment where you always have close collaboration with your colleagues and where we also support each other as needed between schools. In the group, there is a school nurse with a coordinating function and a school doctor who works with all schools.

You are part of EMI (the medical services of student health) which meets regularly for joint meetings and supervision. You work independently at your school or schools with school nurse tasks such as health conversations, health checks, and vaccinations according to the national childhood vaccination program and health program with health visits in grades 1, 4, 6, and 8, and are an important part of the schools' student health teams and student health work. You have a developed methodological support to assist you. You also participate in the overall quality and development work of child and student health.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education in open health and medical care, health and medical care for children and adolescents, or have completed the school nurse program and want to be part of our competent EMI organization. Previous work as a specialist nurse and/or work as a school nurse is advantageous.

We are looking for you who have a strong commitment to making a difference for the health of children and adolescents. You are a secure person and enjoy working independently. The work places high demands on responsibility as well as on your ability to collaborate and be flexible. You have the ability to structure your work and are meticulous. You are interested in quality and organizational development and have the ability to think holistically. Experience working as a school nurse is advantageous. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. A check will be made against IVO and extracts will be requested from the criminal record before working with children and young people.
