Are you the one who creates sustainable everyday life with us? We are now looking for a rehabilitation assistant for the short-term unit Bagaregården in the city center.

We offer you a developing job within our new area of operation in Health and Medical Care called Short-term and Care Planning. Here you will have the opportunity to take an important role in business development focused on the care chain for good, equal, and safe care.

The short-term units in Gothenburg City support patients when they need to regain, maintain, or improve their ability to manage everyday life, thus enabling them to stay at home. Within the short-term units, the patient flow for admissions and discharges is high, and patients typically stay for around 14 days. The short-term units also care for patients waiting for another accommodation. It is a varied job ranging from intensive rehabilitation to palliative care.

As a rehabilitation assistant, you will work together with physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the rehabilitation of individuals residing in the short-term unit. In our work, we start from the patient's own abilities and resources to promote health and independence. You will plan your daily work together with the physiotherapist and occupational therapist, who delegate tasks such as performing training programs to train function and ability in a given situation. You will also assist with home visits prior to discharge and with the management of assistive devices.

The rehabilitation team at the short-term unit Bagaregården is a stable and pleasant team with an open climate and respect for each other's opinions and differences. We work together to achieve the set goals and also for expanded competence and continuous development work.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or has another education in rehabilitation that we consider equivalent. Previous experience working as a rehabilitation assistant is an advantage. If you are trained as an activation pedagogue, we also see that as an advantage.

The job requires that you can work both independently and as part of a team, and that you are attentive and accommodating. We see you as a person who is responsive and has an easy time collaborating and communicating with others. You should appreciate a varied job in a fast-paced and educational environment.
