Welcome to us at department 47/48, the Kidney, Wound, and Medical Department at Skas in Skövde.

The Kidney Medicine Department has space for 30 nephrology and internal medicine patients. The Wound Center is there to care for patients who have or are at risk of developing wounds. We also serve patients who need vascular surgical intervention due to impaired circulation. The internal medicine patients have varied medical reasons.

Job Responsibilities

With us, you will have a stimulating and varied job. As a nurse, you will work independently and closely collaborate with our nursing assistants.

As a nurse here, you will have good support from the rest of the team, and work will be interdisciplinary with nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, podiatrists, dietitians, social workers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. You will definitely gain a breadth in your competence.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse. As a person, we see that you are responsible, clear, and structured. You have a desire to continuously develop and improve the organization. You have a professional approach and the ability to motivate patients to become the obvious co-actor in their treatment, which we strive for. For us, it is important to learn from each other and to involve everyone in the work around the patient. We appreciate that people are different and give you the opportunity to develop your own areas of interest in your work. Familiarity with the systems Melior, Elvis, and Samsa is an advantage.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes introductory days, supervision and training days, as well as observation days. The purpose of the Clinical Foundation Year is to create good conditions for newly graduated nurses to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and practice skills, as well as grow into their new profession.

In the event of recruitment of nurses with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the relevant position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.

Interviews will be conducted continuously.
