In Trollhättan, the Global Technology Center focuses on developing future technologies in additive manufacturing, advanced materials, engine and product development, as well as digital manufacturing methods. Here, research, industry, and customer projects are combined in a technology-intensive and project-based environment.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Leader, you will work with the development and manufacturing of demonstrators. You will be involved throughout the entire chain from product concept and Design for Manufacturing to production preparation and finished detail.
The role is technically coordinating and requires you to take responsibility for the overall manufacturing issues. You will work closely with design, production, quality, and external partners. Projects vary in scope and complexity, and conditions may change during the process, which requires structure and problem-solving skills.
You will ensure manufacturability, quality, and delivery while contributing to the development of methods and working practices from a long-term perspective.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Contributing to Design for Manufacturing in development projects • Coordinating tool manufacturing, design, preparation, method technology, as well as CAM and NC • Working on risk reduction through, for example, PFMEA • Participating in dialogue with customers and suppliers on production technical issues • Making cost estimates for manufacturing • Presenting plans and results internally and externally
This is not a pure line role but a project-based role in a development environment where you need to be confident in your production technology skills.
We are looking for you who
Have an academic degree in production engineering or equivalent experience.
You have at least three years of experience in production technology work within the manufacturing industry, for example in preparation, method development, industrialization, or advanced production.
You have experience working in a project-based coordinating role and are used to taking responsibility for manufacturing issues from concept to finished product.
You have knowledge in:
• Quality tools such as PFMEA, SPC, and structured problem-solving • Machining, additive manufacturing, welding, non-destructive testing, or heat treatment • Design for Manufacturing
You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience from aerospace, working with titanium or nickel-based alloys, and capacity and flow simulation is an advantage.
Other
The position is based in Trollhättan. Travel within Sweden and the EU may occur.
The position may be subject to security classification, which means requirements for approved security clearance.
