We are now looking for a librarian for our library, where media and information literacy (MIK) is a particular area of responsibility.

About the position

As a librarian with us, you have a broad mandate. You meet visitors in the daily library work and contribute to an open, accessible, and professional library.

A particular area of responsibility in the position is media and information literacy (MIK). This means that you work to strengthen people's ability to find, understand, evaluate, and create information in today's complex media landscape. You plan and implement activities, guidance, and educational efforts for different target groups, focusing on source criticism, information retrieval, and digital participation.

You also support visitors with technical questions, such as regarding computers, printers, and e-services, and contribute to reducing digital exclusion.

The position also includes:

• Publishing on the web and social media
• Basic graphic design of posters and program sheets
• Participation in and development of program activities
• Staffing the information desk
• Book shelving, reservation management, and other library tasks

We are looking for someone who

• Has a degree or ongoing education in library and information science
• Has at least one year of experience working in a library
• Has experience working with digital participation in the public sector or Digidel
• Is accustomed to supporting users with technical questions
• Has experience in web publishing and social media as well as basic graphic design
• Has excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
• Has a B driver's license

Pedagogical education and teaching experience are meritorious, as are additional language skills.
