Method Technician at Swecon in Eskilstuna
Do you want to work closely with product, workshop, and operations in a technically broad and practical role? We are now looking for a Method Technician for our equipment workshop in Eskilstuna.
About the Role
As a Method Technician, you will play a key role in the development and preparation of methods as well as the standardization of equipment and options for Swecon's needs for customized solutions (abbreviated USWE). The role is both analytical and practical and involves close collaboration with product managers, product support, workshops, and external suppliers. You will report to the Head of Equipment Workshops.
Your Main Responsibilities
In the role of Method Technician, you will, among other things:
- Prepare all USWE, including parts lists and calculations for both internal and external needs.
- Work closely with the Product Manager USWE, other product managers, and Product Support.
- Conduct trial assembly and verification of USWE and produce assembly instructions.
- Verify assembly performed by external suppliers.
- Prepare documentation and create electrical and hydraulic drawings as needed.
- Actively work with feedback and improvements of USWE.
- Support salespeople and workshops with technical solutions and cost calculations even for non-USWE solutions.
- Participate in and contribute to training for workshops.
- Actively monitor and follow up on customer-perceived assembly quality.
- Support the Central Warehouse with pricing documentation for international sales of USWE.
- Be a technical support to equipment technicians and work closely with operations.
To Succeed and Thrive in the Role
We are looking for someone who has:
- Very good and broad technical knowledge of Swecon's machine offerings (Volvo's construction machines).
- A self-driven, structured, and systematic working style.
- Good ability to collaborate and communicate with different functions.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills.
- Technical university education or equivalent relevant work experience.
We place great importance on how we collaborate, communicate, and act in our daily work. The ability to collaborate, communicate clearly and respectfully, and take responsibility for one's tasks is crucial for success in the role. Engagement, flexibility, and a willingness to contribute to a positive work climate are highly valued, as is a professional and empathetic approach to colleagues, candidates, and partners. This complements formal competence and is an important part of building trust, quality, and long-term relationships. At Swecon, diversity, equality, and inclusion are more than words – they are a commitment. We believe that by embracing different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds, we become stronger.
Location: Eskilstuna, with the possibility to discuss alternative locations.
