Becoming part of the SSAB family means embarking on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future and sustainability of our planet. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. Therefore, we have developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contributing to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
Your main tasks will consist of assembly/disassembly and renovation of bearing housings on work rolls and support rolls. You will also work on inspecting and maintaining bearings/mirrors/guides and other components.
As we strive for high flexibility within the function, assisting with grinding of work rolls and support rolls is also included.
The working hours are 2-shift. On-call duty may occur.
We will review applications on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as you can!
Your main responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance and improvement work.
- Analyze deviations and develop measures.
- Plan maintenance stops in consultation with operational organizations.
- Participate in service with external personnel.
About you
- You have a high school diploma with a focus on UH or another mechanical/technical background.
- Experience from previous UH work.
- You are flexible and meticulous and recognize the importance of the group's collective effort.
- Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.
