About the Position
As a care assistant, you have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, implement, and follow up on daily tasks. With us, you will be welcomed by a team of wise and dedicated colleagues, where you together are responsible for the care and support of our residents. You will work closely with nurses, occupational therapists, unit managers, and relatives. We work from a rehabilitative approach and a person-centered care model where the resident's needs, desires, and abilities guide the goals for rehabilitation, aiming to stimulate a meaningful everyday life.
For us, quality and good care are important, and as an employee, you are expected to contribute and participate in our development work. Together, we are responsible for ensuring that the work maintains high quality and that we follow the guidelines and decisions that come with the assignment.
Examples of Responsibilities:
- perform care tasks and, based on delegation, some medication management
- perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- plan and develop work independently and together with the team
- establish and follow goal plans, routine descriptions, action plans, and implementation plans together with the resident
- collaborate with relatives and others in the resident's network, such as nurses, occupational therapists, and other stakeholders, e.g., the region
- document regularly in the organization's documentation system and review existing documentation
About the Workplace
Ängen opened in 2011 and is located in Ladugårdsängen, close to green areas, a golf course, and the city. In the same building, in addition to the special housing, there is a health center, memory clinic, day rehabilitation, group housing, family center, senior housing, and physiotherapy. Ängen's special housing consists of 56 apartments distributed across four departments, two departments focused on somatic care and two departments focused on cognitive impairment.
The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority functions in the area, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications
As a care assistant with us, you are a reliable and stable person. You have the ability to meet residents in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. Taking responsibility for your tasks is a given for you. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's needs. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with residents and other staff, as well as document what the organization requires in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation in the operational system, good computer skills are required.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- proof of protected professional title, or covered by transitional regulations (permanent employed care assistant as of July 1, 2023)
Meritorious:
- experience in care and support work
- experience working with individuals with cognitive impairment
- experience working with individuals with BPSD
- experience working in the documentation and operational system Lifecare
Scope and Start Date
Employment type: permanent position
Employment rate: 100%
Start date: July 1 or by agreement
Number of positions: 1
Working hours: day, evening, and weekend
Other Information
As of July 1, 2023, the title of care assistant is protected. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to be employed as a care assistant. While waiting for your certificate, it is possible to be employed as a care aide. However, if you had a permanent position as a care assistant on July 1, 2023, you may continue to use the title.
