Strategic Buyer – Business-Driven Role in a Growing Company

Stadler Sweden is in a phase of increased production rates and strong business focus. To meet rising volumes, higher delivery requirements, and a more complex supplier market, we are now looking for a Strategic Buyer who wants to take a clear role in securing capacity, competitiveness, and long-term profitability.

As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing supplier and sourcing strategies that directly contribute to the company's results. The role has a clear mission: to ensure delivery capability during increased production rates, optimize costs, and reduce supplier-related risks.

You will work with capacity dialogues, commercial negotiations, and supplier development to strengthen performance, quality, and delivery capability.

You are an active participant in cross-functional collaborations with production, technology, SQA, and logistics to ensure stable and efficient flows.

Responsibilities

• Secure supplier capacity and robustness during volume increases
• Develop and implement supplier strategies
• Conduct commercial negotiations and establish contracts
• Drive cost optimization and identify savings initiatives
• Analyze and proactively manage supplier risks
• Initiate and lead supplier development efforts
• Contribute to structure, transparency, and improved working methods within purchasing

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a business-oriented and analytical strategic buyer with documented experience in strategic purchasing within manufacturing or technical industries. You are confident in negotiation situations, structured in your approach, and have the ability to combine long-term strategy with operational effectiveness.

• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing
• Experience in capacity assurance and supplier development
• Familiarity with working in cross-functional environments
• Requirement for excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
