About Us

Our inpatient care consists of two departments, department 34 and 36, each with 16 beds. We care for patients according to HSL and LPT. Department 34 also has a separate service with 2 detoxification places where we care for patients admitted under LOB. The departments employ nurses, caregivers, social workers, and doctors. The competence of all professional groups is utilized to provide excellent care. We receive patients from all diagnostic groups, making the days varied and very interesting. This gives you the opportunity to learn about all different diagnostic groups and comorbidity.

About the Position

As a healthcare assistant, you will be an important part of the care team and work closely with nurses, social workers, and doctors. Your focus will be on the patients' psychiatric care and somatic care, as well as family and network work. You will contribute to care planning and promote patients' participation in their own care. Documentation in the Take Care journal system is an integral part of the work. You will also participate in the development of nursing work on the department.

Someone with a genuine interest in psychiatric patients and a commitment to creating a safe and supportive care environment. We value good collaboration skills, resilience to stress, and the ability to act in acute situations. Previous experience in psychiatry or addiction care is an advantage.

Proof of protected professional title for healthcare assistants or employer certificate confirming that you had a permanent position as a healthcare assistant on July 1, 2023, in accordance with the transitional provisions (2021:739) in the Patient Safety Act (2010:659). If you are applying with an employer certificate, you should attach your diploma from your healthcare assistant examination.

Employment Form

Temporary position for regular staff during weekdays and weekends according to schedule (day, evening, and weekend shifts). Regular staff work every other weekend.

Start date according to agreement.

Psykiatricentrum Södertälje is a specialist psychiatric clinic within the Stockholm County Council's healthcare area, SLSO. The clinic has four outpatient units and two inpatient care departments. With our approximately 200 employees, we are a small clinic. This fosters good cohesion and makes it easier to get to know and influence the operation.

• employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
• in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
