Web Coordinator at the Communications Department of Mid Sweden University

Then you might be the web coordinator we are looking for at the Communications Department of Mid Sweden University.

The Communications Department works to strengthen and highlight Mid Sweden University's education and research, recruit students, and create good relationships with the surrounding community. We are now looking for a web coordinator responsible for the management, development, and quality assurance of the university's websites in close collaboration with communicators, operations, and IT.

Responsibilities

As a web coordinator, you will play a central role in the management and development of Mid Sweden University's web environments. You will work both strategically and operationally with the web platform and ensure that the websites are stable, accessible, user-friendly, and comply with applicable requirements.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• having ordering responsibility towards external suppliers and being responsible for prioritizing and approving deliveries
• leading management work according to the annual cycle and management plan, as well as developing plans for how we can achieve our goals and improve our websites
• coordinating and managing the university's web platform, web structure, and domains, as well as leading change work during major changes
• ensuring good structure, content quality, accessibility, and compliance with applicable guidelines and legal requirements, such as WCAG, GDPR, and web guidelines for the public sector
• troubleshooting, managing incidents, and contributing to continuous improvements of the web environments
• working with navigation, search, and user experience, as well as keeping track of developments in the web field and contributing ideas for development
• providing support and advice to web editors and content owners, and collaborating closely with IT in the development and management of the organization's web and digital infrastructure

The work takes place in an environment where both Swedish and English are used, and the websites target both national and international audiences.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who:

• has post-secondary education in web, digital communication, information architecture, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• has at least 3 years of experience working as a web coordinator or in a similar role
• has good experience in web development and working with CMS and HTML/CSS
• has good knowledge of accessibility (WCAG), web standards, security, and performance
• has good knowledge of SEO, web statistics, and analysis tools
• has good knowledge of APIs, integrations, and publishing flows with other systems
• has experience working with web in cloud-based environments
• has experience working systematically with content, quality assurance, and follow-up
• has experience in project management and driving development and improvement projects related to web and digital solutions
• has experience as an ordering party and requirements setter towards suppliers
• can express yourself very well in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have experience in:

• working with web in larger and/or complex organizations, preferably in the public sector or higher education
• close collaboration with other web developers
• collaboration with IT functions, developers, and external suppliers
• system management and working according to established management models
• Optimizely CMS
• UX/UI
• AI

Employment and Start Date

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date of 2026-06-01 by agreement.

We work with ongoing selection and conduct interviews throughout the entire advertising period.
