We are now looking for an IT Architect who wants to help shape our future technical solutions and architecture. The role is important to us as you will work both strategically for the entire SSG portfolio and operationally with solutions that make a difference for the users.

About the role

As an IT Architect with us, you will be responsible for creating guiding and supporting architecture that enables cost-effective, long-term sustainable, and usable solutions. You will contribute with overall solution architecture, identify and ensure non-functional requirements, develop technical roadmaps, and document and support our product teams.

You will work closely with product owners, portfolio owners, and teams to identify solutions that increase customer value, quality, and security, reduce costs, and shorten lead times from idea to market. The role combines technical expertise with an understanding of business needs and customer benefits.

You will belong to a newly formed team of 4 competent IT Architects who have many years of knowledge in the field and are now looking forward to welcoming another colleague to the team.

Main responsibilities

• Participate with architectural expertise in product teams
• Develop and document overall technical architecture and solution proposals
• Evaluate technical solutions and vendors from a holistic perspective
• Ensure that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Contribute to the development of the IT architect profession and the team's working methods
• Create technical roadmaps and system documentation for products and domains
• Support teams with releases, troubleshooting, and technical questions

We develop in a fully cloud-based environment in Azure, using dotnet/C# and React. The architecture is based on microservices and is message-based. Infrastructure is managed as code via IaC (infrastructure as code).

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of experience in development, and has largely already transitioned into the architecture role in one way or another.
• Has an interest in technology and business development and the ability to understand how user needs and business needs can be transformed into technical solutions.
• Has analytical skills, a helicopter perspective, and can navigate complex systems where multiple products and teams depend on each other.
• Has a high ability to collaborate and communicate across different departments as you will need to adapt information based on the audience.
• Is structured and has the ability to coordinate and organize tasks in a complex environment.
• Fluent in Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.

Location

If located in Östersund, regular travel to the headquarters in Sundsvall is included, especially during the introduction and a couple of days a month for continued close collaboration with both the IT architect team and other teams.
