Here, five residents live, and we work closely together at a calm pace with a strong focus on stability, relationships, and meaningful everyday life.

YOUR ROLE

As a specialist nurse assistant, you have advanced competence and extended responsibilities within the organization. In addition to the common care work, you systematically work to ensure quality and develop methods with the individual in focus. You contribute to a holistic view of each person and ensure that interventions are planned, implemented, and followed up in a structured and professional manner.

Together with the manager and other professionals, you continuously reflect on ethical approaches and methodologies. You introduce new employees, mentor colleagues and students, and serve as a support in matters related to your specialist competence. You are a driving force in quality and improvement work and have specific knowledge about, for example, BPSD and methods for coordinated individual plans. You stay updated on developments and research in the field and contribute new knowledge to the workgroup.

The work includes care and medical interventions. There may be situations involving seizures and heavy lifting, and you need to be comfortable handling both planned and emergency situations. We also actively work to create a meaningful everyday life through activities such as swimming, bowling, and restaurant visits.

At the same time, a support pedagogue is being recruited for the nearby Melodivägen 1. Together, the idea is for you to form a team focused on quality and development in both organizations. This means that your primary placement will be at Melodivägen 5, but you will also partially work at Melodivägen 1.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with a specialist nurse assistant education of 200 higher vocational education credits focused on cognitive diseases or care for the elderly, dementia, and geriatric psychiatry. Alternatively, you are trained as a Silvia nurse with a degree from Sophiahemmet. You meet the requirements to work as a nurse assistant according to current regulations and can provide proof of professional qualifications or equivalent.

You have sufficient knowledge of Swedish to be able to participate in and convey both oral and written information and document according to the organization's requirements. You also have the physical capabilities required to perform the job's tasks.

It is an advantage if you have experience mentoring colleagues, students, or new employees, as well as if you have worked with individuals with disabilities or mental health issues.

As a person, you are structured and work according to a clear process. You are confident in your professional role, can differentiate between issues and individuals, and dare to stand by professional judgments. You are creative and see opportunities for development in everyday life while being collaborative and working selflessly towards common goals.

Melodivägen 5 is one of Skellefteå's oldest group homes, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Here, five residents live, and the organization is characterized by calmness, continuity, and closeness. The area has barbecue spots and outdoor spaces that we use in our daily work.
