About the role

As a concrete worker with our client in Västerås, you will be an important part of the construction and civil engineering team. You will perform various concrete works on construction sites and in civil engineering projects, focusing on quality, safety, and effective collaboration. This role is suitable for you who are practical, meticulous, and used to working in teams under varying weather and working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of surfaces and molds for casting

• Mixing, laying, and processing concrete

• Vibration, thickness control, and finishing

• Assembly and disassembly of molds and reinforcement

• Surface treatments such as smoothing, leveling, and jointing

• Reading and adhering to drawings and work instructions

• Maintaining order on the worksite and following safety procedures

• Collaboration with project managers and other professional categories on site

Your experience

We are looking for someone with experience in concrete and civil engineering work, preferably from similar projects. You have a good understanding of the requirements for precision and durability in work tasks. Experience in reinforcement, formwork, and finishing is an advantage. You are used to working outdoors and in varying temperatures and to following safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Documented experience in concrete work or construction

• Knowledge of formwork, reinforcement, and finishing

• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions

• Good Swedish in speech and writing

• Physical endurance and ability to work standing and in pace with the project's tempo

• Safety-conscious and meticulous

Desirable

• Construction or civil engineering education

• Forklift license & crane

Working hours

The position is full-time with daytime as the main working hours, but some projects may require flexible working hours or shift work. Start date according to agreement, preferably as soon as possible.
