Every hour, every day, all year round, we at the IT Operations Center work to ensure that Svenska Spel has the most satisfied customers in the gaming market by monitoring our IT environment and ensuring that everything works as it should.

Are you an analytical and curious problem solver who enjoys teamwork and has a burning interest in technology? Are you also looking for a summer job in Visby? If so, you could be one of the Operations Technicians we are currently seeking for summer 2026!

What will you do? Centrally located at Svenska Spel's headquarters in Visby, our IT Operations Center employs 14 operations technicians who work 24/7, 365 days a year. We are always staffed with two people around the clock on a rotating schedule. The team serves as First Line Support for IT incidents and constantly monitors Svenska Spel's IT environment. We are the hub that coordinates case management within Tech and also handles IT support cases outside of office hours.

In the role of Operations Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with modern tools, platforms, and frameworks, most of which are based on open source. You will have many points of contact and will communicate verbally and in writing with various parts of the company as well as with our external suppliers. Communication will take place in both Swedish and English.

The work aims to create a reliable operation that withstands all types of disruptions. You will be part of an enthusiastic team that together creates the future monitoring function characterized by proactivity, automation, and the ability to quickly handle IT incidents.

Are you one of those who will make it happen? You are a curious and driven problem solver who identifies practical solutions and keeps a cool head when unexpected situations arise. As a person, you are analytical and can logically and systematically absorb information.

You enjoy working in a team, collaborate effectively with different types of people, and are good at communicating both verbally and in writing. You have a strong interest in tech, see opportunities, embrace change, and easily adapt to new things.

We are looking for both those who have several years of experience in the field and those who may be just starting their careers, but we believe you possess the following experiences and competencies:

• Good knowledge of Linux servers through education or practical experience

• Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus

• At least a high school education with an IT/technical focus or practical work experience in the field

• Experience in service and customer interaction in the form of IT support or similar is a plus

Svenska Spel is currently on an exciting journey as we gradually transition from physical data centers to a modern cloud-based platform in Google Cloud. This means that our IT environment is rapidly evolving with a focus on scalability, automation, and security in the cloud. If you have knowledge of or an interest in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or programming experience, it is a plus, but not a requirement. Above all, we place great importance on your personal qualities.

Each employment begins with an introduction and training. The summer job period runs from May to August, and we hope you can start as early as possible during that time.

The position is located on-site at the IT Operations Center in Visby.
