You will work as a school custodian with varied tasks at Stenkulan F-9. The job consists of daily service to ensure the operation runs smoothly.

You will participate in the municipality's network meetings for custodians to collaboratively solve and develop tasks and working methods related to operational service. You will also be part of the school's administrative working group with principals and school administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a custodian with us, no two days are the same. You are responsible for ensuring that our premises are welcoming, safe, and functional. Your tasks range from ongoing maintenance and reporting issues to liaising with external contractors and handling logistics during school events and ceremonies.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Property maintenance: Basic repairs, assembly, and oversight of technical systems.
• Security: Responsibility for fire protection inspections (SBA) and lock management.
• Service: Assisting staff and students with practical questions and purchases.
• Environment: Responsibility for waste management and order in our shared spaces.
• Hardware management: Responsible for the rollout, inventory, and basic troubleshooting of students' and staff's computers.
• AV technology: Ensuring that projectors, screens, and sound systems in classrooms and auditoriums function flawlessly.
• Support: Being the first contact person for simple IT issues (e.g., network connections, printers, or login problems).
• Administration: Managing digital systems for issue reporting, permissions, and tags.

We are looking for someone with a broad technical understanding and a service-oriented mindset. But most importantly, we value your personality. In a school, you are a role model; therefore, we seek someone who is confident, communicative, and has a positive attitude towards both children and adults.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a suitable background in education and experience in similar work. We seek a service-oriented person with broad practical skills in carpentry, electronics, and maintenance. Your role includes fire protection responsibility for the property, and we prefer someone with experience in that area. The position also includes IT responsibility regarding the management and updating of iPads and computers. It is important that you can take initiative, be flexible regarding work methods and hours. We are looking for someone with a high school diploma, a valid driver's license (B), and experience as a custodian and/or in property service or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer. Special skills such as relevant technical expertise or other education in the field are advantageous.

You have a very good ability to collaborate and should be able to take responsibility for your work area. The job also requires a good ability to solve various problems for the operations. You need to be open to change and able to make your own decisions, take initiatives, and have an eye for what needs to be done.

You are meticulous and service-oriented since much of the work as a custodian involves supporting the school's staff. Personal suitability will be given great importance.

We seek someone who wants and can build relationships with children and young people. Being good at meeting people and having a high degree of service mentality is essential. We expect you to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, to work according to our instructions for orders, issue reports, and communicate with colleagues.

IT proficiency is required to perform job tasks.
