At WSP Rail, you will work on some of Sweden's most advanced infrastructure projects – projects that require technical precision and innovative solutions. Our organization is growing, and we invest in your professional development through training, mentorship, and knowledge sharing. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop under the umbrella of large, multidisciplinary assignments.
About WSP Rail WSP Rail is a national subsector within WSP consisting of approximately 200 employees represented throughout Sweden, and globally we are over 7,000 within Rail & Transit. Within the Rail subsector, expertise is represented across all disciplines such as land, track, low voltage, overhead lines, signaling, telecommunications, cabling, traffic, capacity, and early stages. All employees, both nationally and internationally, connect their expertise by working on large multidisciplinary as well as smaller assignments.
In 2025, we will be involved in assignments such as Hallsberg-Stenkumla, Norrbotniabanan, Mälarbanan, Maria-Helsingborg, Fyra Spår Uppsala, Malmbanan, Sävenäs, Laxå, and Ostlänken. We participate in all stages of the railway process from early planning phases to inspection of completed facilities and advisory services in maintenance. WSP is a leader in the development of Railsys and ERTMS, where we have been involved in the rollout and development of ERTMS implementation in Sweden for several years, both in system design, construction design, development projects, and capacity studies. Now we want to grow our team and are looking for our next Technical Manager in low voltage.
About the position As the Technical Manager in low voltage, you will lead the design of the technical area within larger railway assignments. You will prepare documentation for relevant contractors, seek technical solutions, and write technical design descriptions and quantity lists. You have high technical knowledge and will be WSP's face to the customer for low voltage. In this role, you will support project management in various railway assignments with resource planning, staffing, and coordination to ensure successful delivery.
In addition to becoming part of a local interdisciplinary technical group within rail, you will also be part of a national team of experienced designers in low voltage/power and/or remote control with extensive experience in detailed design, tender inquiries, and technical specifications.
The work is varied with many contact points as project groups often consist of colleagues from other disciplines and techniques in both railway-specific and multidisciplinary assignments. Customers and partners are both local in Sweden and international, which means that English is used on a daily basis.
Did you know that you can become a co-owner of WSP through our global stock program – where we as an employer beneficially increase your ownership share when you invest? That's how we grow together!
Your profile We are looking for someone with high technical competence in low voltage and a very good understanding of the railway business and assignments as a whole. You have likely worked in roles related to railway design in low voltage for several years.
Since this role is coordinating, both nationally and across borders, you need to have very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
Application deadline Selection is ongoing. Please submit your application by March 19.
Welcome with your application!
Contact from recruitment companies, CV and ad sellers is not welcome.
