Project Manager for the Infrastructure Department in Bollnäs Municipality

The Infrastructure Department consists of the units for Operations and Service as well as Projects and Planning. The department is relatively new and this position is placed within the Projects and Planning unit.

Description

Are you a driven project manager who wants to help shape the future infrastructure of Bollnäs Municipality? We are now looking for an engaged colleague to join our infrastructure department.

As a project manager with us, you will play a central role in maintaining, improving, and developing the city's street areas. You will be responsible for driving projects from the early planning phase to completed construction and handover to management.

The unit consists of project managers, project designers, property managers, and land and development engineers. We are the ordering organization of the business and drive development for the municipality's streets, land, and property portfolio. The unit focuses on long-term goals to achieve a robust and reliable infrastructure in the municipality.

Your main responsibilities:

• Project Management: Responsible for schedule, budget, and quality in investment and development projects.
• Ordering Role: Lead the work as an orderer in the design and production phases.
• Collaboration: Maintain close contact with citizens, authorities, and other departments within the municipality.
• Procurement: Participate in the procurement of consultants and contractors.
• Construction Meetings: Hold financial and ordering meetings and monitor regulatory issues.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is structured, communicative, and has the ability to see the big picture in complex construction projects, primarily within municipal roads and streets.

Requirements

• Relevant post-secondary education, e.g., civil engineer in road and water, civil engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in project management within the construction and civil engineering industry and a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• You need to have a B driver's license and knowledge of contract law (e.g., AB/ABT) and LOU, as well as training as BAS-U.

Meritorious

• Experience working in a politically governed organization.
• Training as BAS-P.
