The Traffic and Measurement Unit is part of Technical Services under the Technical Administration. Your workplace is located at Håstaäng, where you will work together with six competent colleagues and your immediate manager in an engaged team.

Job Responsibilities

As a traffic engineer, you will work broadly on issues related to traffic safety, accessibility, traffic planning, investigations, and handling within the traffic area. You will prepare decision-making documents, handle cases, and participate in projects, including when new areas are developed. You will be part of an engaged team where collaboration with colleagues, external actors, and the public is a natural part of everyday life.

In this role, you will, among other things:

• handle cases related to traffic safety, accessibility, and mobility
• participate in and drive the municipality's traffic safety work and take part in traffic investigations
• prepare decision-making documents and responses to political committees
• plan and follow up on projects related to pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle traffic
• collaborate with colleagues, contractors, the Swedish Transport Administration, and other stakeholders

Your Profile

In this role, you need to be able to collaborate well with others while also working independently and taking responsibility for your own work. You plan and structure your tasks effectively and have an analytical approach when dealing with more complex issues.

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience in traffic planning, traffic safety, or a related field
• holds a university degree in traffic, urban planning, or infrastructure, or other education and experience deemed equivalent
• has good knowledge of traffic legislation and traffic design
• can express themselves well in spoken and written Swedish
• has a valid driver's license (B)

Meritorious:

• experience working in municipal operations or another public organization
• experience with GIS, traffic plans, or project management
