The Gävle area includes the closed prison Gävle, the open prison Gruvberget, and the remand center Bomhus. Our operations run around the clock, and the largest professional group is correctional officers, supported by over a dozen other positions to ensure our mission. At the prisons Gävle and Gruvberget, inmates are engaged in education, other structured activities, treatment programs, self-management, or in work operations primarily consisting of carpentry production. You can easily reach the prison Gävle and the remand center Bomhus by public transport; access to a car is required for the prison Gruvberget. Staff parking is available.

Gruvberget is an open prison in the lowest security class. The prison has space for 60 clients and employs around 40 staff. The facility is located in a beautiful part of Hälsingland, surrounded by forests and lakes. We are now looking for 2 production leaders for summer temporary positions at the prison Gruvberget. We warmly welcome your application!

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a production leader, you will have direct contact with our clients in the prison's production. In your daily contact with the inmates, your work will contribute to the clients' learning and also help them reflect on their situation. You will also work with scheduling, attendance controls, and some security work around the clients. In your work, you will be involved in the clients' planning for release, which includes documenting and collaborating with other functions and roles in client work.

After the introduction, you as a production leader will be responsible for the daily operations. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for production planning, task distribution, and ensuring that our deliveries are made on time. You will also participate in the production work yourself.

The employment at the prison Gruvberget consists of wood processing at various stages and property maintenance.

The summer temporary position covers work from week 23 to week 34. As a summer temp, you will undergo a full-time introduction for 2 weeks in week 17-18 or week 21-22.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has self-awareness. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have the ability to make correct assessments and priorities. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages based on the recipient's conditions. You should also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires.

To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and the belief that people can develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally with your approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To be considered for the position, you need to have completed upper secondary education in the form of a final grade or diploma. You have a B driver's license and can speak fluent Swedish. We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Experience and/or education in wood/carpentry
• Experience and/or education in mechanical work
• Work experience in a supervisory role
• Work experience in any of the following areas: Customer service, pedagogy, motivational work, property maintenance, corrections, security work, social care, psychiatry, or healthcare and nursing work.
