What is it like to work in the orthopedic department?

Do you want to work in an organization where you see the results of your work every day? In our orthopedic department in Skövde, you meet patients with clear care and rehabilitation goals, where the progress in recovery is often noticeable.

This makes the work both meaningful and motivating.

As a nursing assistant with us, you will have varied workdays with a mix of short and longer care periods. You will work closely with patients in their care and rehabilitation, in close collaboration with nurses, doctors, and other professionals. The work also involves using and handling medical technology equipment, which is a natural part of orthopedic care.

We offer a safe working environment where we work together in teams and support each other in daily tasks. You will receive a structured introduction with support from experienced colleagues and work with modern tools as well as well-functioning routines and guidelines. The operations are characterized by interdisciplinary collaboration and ongoing development and improvement work. The workplace is located on the eighth floor in bright and nice premises with ergonomic workstations and a fantastic view.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you will perform all tasks associated with the care department, such as personal care, assistance during meals, sample collection, checks, observations, as well as documentation and reporting of the patient's condition. You will assist nurses and doctors during examinations and treatments and contribute to a safe and secure care environment for patients and relatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a nursing assistant education or equivalent competence. You have a genuine interest in care and enjoy working closely with patients. You thrive in collaboration across professional boundaries but can also work independently and take responsibility in your work. Experience in orthopedic care or work in inpatient care is an advantage but not a requirement. We value that you are engaged, flexible, and have good communication skills as well as a willingness to contribute to the development of the organization.

The work is scheduled for days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
