The Waste Management in Uppsala Municipality is responsible for preventing, managing, and addressing littering on public land, such as squares, parks, and other shared urban environments. The operation is organizationally under the City Planning Office and contributes to a clean, safe, and well-functioning city for residents and visitors.

Job Description

The daily work mainly consists of supervising and working together with young people. The tasks include litter picking, weed removal, painting, and some maintenance of public objects. The tasks may vary within different geographical areas. The work is scheduled for June-August, and we prioritize candidates who can work the entire period.

Qualifications

For this position, previous experience in pedagogical work is an advantage. A B driver's license is also advantageous. You are a responsive and collaborative person who builds good relationships and handles challenges in a constructive and communicative way. You have a good understanding that people learn in different ways and adapt your guidance to the individual's needs. As a leader, you motivate the young people, provide them with clear frameworks and authority, and create engagement and participation within the group. You are a natural coordinator and a reliable reference point that helps the group achieve their goals together.
