Seasonal Workers Needed for Gravestone/Construction Work and Grave Digging at Uppsala Cemeteries

Uppsala Cemeteries is currently looking for seasonal workers for the period from May to October 2026.

The work includes safety inspections of gravestones, installation of gravestones or entire grave constructions, some other construction work, as well as participation in grave digging. The tasks are physically demanding.

You will be part of a work team based at the Old Cemetery.

In this role, it is important that you are service-oriented and have a respectful demeanor, as the work may involve interactions with visitors and mourners at the cemetery. You will primarily work in a group, which requires you to be cooperative, responsible, and contribute to a good working atmosphere.

Our guiding principles are engagement, respect, affirmation, openness, and clarity, and these should also characterize our work and how we interact with each other.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

About the Position

• The position is a seasonal employment with start date as agreed.
• Working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• As a seasonal employee, you will receive a monthly salary.
• As a seasonal employee, you will be offered a wellness allowance and wellness hour.

We provide work clothes.

We are looking for someone who

• has a B driver's license.
• has good physical condition.
• is meticulous and places great importance on quality in your work.
• has teamwork skills, is responsible, and service-oriented.

Meritorious:

• has education or experience in the construction industry.
• has a driver's license for a wheel loader.
