The operations of Rinkebyskolan include compulsory school grades 7-9 as well as adapted compulsory school for grades 1-9.

We have approximately 260 students and 90 dedicated staff members. Rinkebyskolan is located in Rinkeby, close to the green areas of Järvafältet. There are good transport links by bus and subway.

Your Role

We are looking for someone who is present, engaged, professional, and used to taking responsibility for students' health and learning.

You have good collaboration skills, are relationship-building, and have a respectful and empathetic approach that is characterized by dialogue and participation in meetings with students and/or guardians as well as your colleagues.

Furthermore, the role requires the ability to be flexible, solution-oriented, independent, and very structured in your work approach to successfully plan in the short and long term. As a school nurse, you create good relationships with children/students, staff, and guardians, keeping every student's best interests in focus.

The school nurse at Rinkebyskolan is tasked with collaborating with school management and other student health personnel based on their medical expertise, with the aim of creating the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. You are an important team player in the school's student health team (EHT), whose main mission is health promotion and preventive work. This may also involve driving and conducting workshops and holding activities for both students, staff, and guardians. As a new school nurse, you will play a significant role in leading the school's safety and attendance work together with the counselor starting in the fall of '26.

Together with the school doctor and in consultation with school management, you are responsible for organizing the medical interventions of student health in the school according to current guidelines and instructions. The work involves collaboration with students, parents, school staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school.

The assignment involves oral and written communication that requires very good knowledge of Swedish. In the City of Stockholm, school nurses are employed at the school with the principal as the immediate supervisor. It is also the principal who leads the student health work at the school. For medical interventions, there is a central 'School Nurse with Medical Management Responsibility' available for advice, support, and guidelines regarding medical work. As a school nurse, you are responsible together with the school doctor for the medical interventions of student health at Rinkebyskolan. The medical intervention is an important part of the school's student health team that works together to support students in achieving their goals.

Your Competence and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Licensed nurse with specialist nursing education in Health and Medical Care for Children and Youth 60 credits.
  • District nurse 75 credits or School Nurse Program 60 credits.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish.
  • Good computer skills.

Qualifying Attributes:

  • Good collaboration skills and initiative-taking together with all professional groups in the school.

Meritorious:

  • Experience working as a school nurse.
  • Experience working in the journal system Prorenata.
