Mikaelgården is a non-profit therapeutic pedagogical organization offering housing for children and adolescents within the framework of LSS and HVB. We run a Waldorf resource school for students in primary and adapted primary school.

At Mikaelgården, we have created a therapeutic environment for children who need more than temporary interventions. The students, who are of primary school age, come from all over the country and exhibit a wide range of different psychological and social functional variations. Common diagnoses include ADD, ADHD, autism, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Tourette's syndrome.

Mikaelgården is beautifully located a bit outside Järna center. Classrooms, assembly hall, dining hall, and residences are all located on the same area, creating a vibrant context that fosters a special sense of safety and belonging.

The school has permission to provide education without a fixed timetable. This gives teachers a unique opportunity to work interdisciplinary based on the students' needs and requires a careful focus on learning development and subject progression. The school has a close collaboration with Mikaelgården's residences; HVB and LSS, where many students live during the week.

For our group of students in the adapted primary school, we need reinforcement. We are looking for someone who, together with teaching assistants and students, creates a meaningful and developing school environment. We are primarily looking for a licensed special educator – engaged - curious about people - enjoys collaboration - and is used to taking responsibility. Particularly advantageous is if you have training in or experience with Waldorf pedagogy.
